In the short-term rain can act to decrease the snowpack strength, but in the long-term help to create a stronger more cohesive snowpack.

An active weather pattern will move through the area this week, with light precipitation expected each day. That precipitation will fall as rain during the day before transiting to snow each night. Gusty W-SW winds will accompany the precipitation in the afternoon on Wednesday March 27th and Thursday March 28th.
