LEVEL 2: AVALANCHE STATEMENT

Avalanche Forecast:

Avalanche activity above the road MAY OCCUR. Resulting avalanche debris reaching the road grade is POSSIBLE but NOT LIKELY.

Travel Advisory:

Through travel only in the JC Road corridor, do not stop vehicles.

It is recommended that any person operating equipment in the corridor wear an avalanche transceiver and have access to rescue equipment.

Snowpack and Weather Summary:

The snowpack within the JC Road corridor is once again transitioning through multiple melt freeze cycles and there is evidence of small wet loose natural avalanche activity above the roadway. This activity will continue through the weekend and possibly into next week as we continue to see above freezing daytime temperatures.

High pressure has moved into our region and daytime temperatures well above freezing can be expected each day through the weekend.
