Snowpack and Weather Summary:

Snowpack assessments performed on Saturday, March 10th found an average height of snow of 110cm (approx. 43”) and showed a marked increase in the strength of the slab comprising the upper portion of the snowpack. While the upper portion continues to become more cohesive, the bottom 20-35cm is still comprised of weak and persistent snow grains. With time and moderate melt-freeze cycles the weaker basal layers may also become more cohesive.

For the week ahead light snow can be expected, with the highest amounts occurring during the day on Tuesday, March 12th. Light snow will continue through Wednesday night before high-pressure returns to the area on Thursday.
