LEVEL 1: UNRESTRICTED

Avalanche Forecast:

Avalanche activity above the road IS POSSIBLE. Resulting avalanche debris reaching the road grade is NOT EXPECTED.

Travel Advisory:

No recommended restrictions.

Weather and Snowpack Summary:

Because of the melt freeze cycles during the past week, the upper portion of the snowpack has gained strength and become a slab. The snowpack underlying this slab is still weak; time, small amounts of precipitation and warmer daytime temperatures may help the lower portion of the snowpack to become stronger as well.

The weather forecast for the weekend shows light snowfall through mid-day Friday. Warmer temperatures make their way into the forecast area Saturday and no significant snow is expected through the weekend.
